Versioning/rollback

Versioning and rollback illustration -live content can be unpublished and older versions republished back to the live site.

Automatic versioning creates a defined and structured audit trail for content owners. The ability to revert live content to any previous published version empowers users to effectively manage the content lifecycle.

Instances when roll-back might be required are:

  • The live site containing missing essential information
  • Live site content is inaccurate or incorrect
  • Legally there is a requirement to stop or remove a piece of content

All versions are colour coded to make it obvious which ones are old versions (black), which one is live (green) and which one is being worked on and not yet approved and published (red).

Continuity's duplication functionality means it is quick and easy to create a new version to work on.
